Donations and Volunteering

Finanical Gifts:
While Hospice is a Medicare-funded program, the Hospice Benefit covers only a portion of the true cost of hospice care. The remainder is supported through donations. Butte Home Health & Hospice is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charity, meaning donations are tax-deductible. If you choose, there are several methods available to make donations.

Gifts of Time:
In addition to supporting hospice financially many people enjoy investing their time, talent, and expertise as hospice volunteers. We at Hospice of Butte Home Health say that volunteers are the "heart of hospice" because they are involved in almost everything that we do. They exemplify the hospice philosophy of neighbor helping neighbor. Hospice volunteers perform a variety of duties including direct patient care, family support, bereavement support, clerical work, fund-raising, and special projects, such as mailing the newsletter.
